In the past, price was the most important decision-making criterion when choosing a supplier. Yet we’re pleased to note that sustainable practices are now increasingly in the spotlight.
Greiner Packaging is a member of EcoVadis, a global platform that issues CSR ratings. Businesses are evaluated based on their sustainability in four areas: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. As well as indicating the potential for improvement within a company, the EcoVadis ratings also play an important role in informing current and prospective customers’ decisions regarding future cooperation. However, sustainability cannot be practiced in isolation; it must be ensured along the entire value chain. The companies Greiner Packaging works with need to make a tangible contribution toward greater sustainability, too.
In addition to its annual assessment, EcoVadis also performs continuous 360-degree monitoring of partner companies, providing access to up-to-date information.
