The wind deflector is produced in an overmolding process. A stainless steel frame is procured, the mesh manually adhered, dried and trimmed – before it is manually inserted into the injection molding machine, overmolded and thereby sealed. The metal-plastic combination allows the wind deflector to become very robust, while at the same time reducing the weight of the end product, thanks to the use of plastic.
